Escape from Broadmoor: Part One

Male dormitory, from the Illustrated London News

A number of patients tried to escape during the reign of Broadmoor's first head, Dr John Meyer.  Some of them succeeded.

This was a period when everything was new at Broadmoor, and when any flaws in security were bound to be tested.

'Escape from Broadmoor' is now a chapter in 'Broadmoor Revealed.'  See link below for more details.
