Services to donors and depositors
We are pleased to accept records regardless of their age,
which illustrate past or present life in Berkshire
and are worthy of permanent preservation. We can take them either
as a gift, or on deposit, with the depositor retaining legal ownership.
All documents are stored in secure strong rooms with controlled temperature
and humidity, protected by a fire alarm system.
Trained staff are employed to sort, catalogue and package documents.
The office is fully-equipped for the conservation and preservation of
the records held here.
We are always pleased to receive information about any documents relating
to the county, and willing to advise you on how best to store your own
records in the office or home.
