Broadmoor Hospital
Berkshire Record Office has recently received the historic archives of Broadmoor Hospital, previously known as Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum. These archives are currently being listed and repaired thanks to a grant from The Wellcome Trust.
The archive will be made available for research in autumn 2008.
We have agreed a detailed access protocol with the Hospital which will guide what information we can make available, and this can be downloaded from the link below:
