Authentic voices of the past

Berkshire Record Office has produced a blog to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.

The blog will follow the experiences of the people of Berkshire, at home and abroad, day by day through World War I, 100 years on. These authentic voices of the past come from a variety of sources at Berkshire Record Office, including diaries, letters, parish magazines and school log books. They reflect life on the Home Front in both historic (pre-1974) Berkshire and in Slough, and experiences of those at the Front.
