2021 marked 900 years of the founding of Reading Abbey. The BRO holds a number of items either from the Abbey or relating to it which reflect aspects of the abbey’s relationship to Reading town. In collaboration with the History Department of the University of Reading, the BRO put together some web pages about the documents we hold on the Abbey and you can view them online.
