At the Royal Berkshire Archives we provide visitors with free access to online subscriptions for Find My Past, the 1921 Census, the British Newspaper Archive and Ancestry.

Unfortunately there is an ongoing issue with access to Find My Past, which includes the 1921 Census, that means we cannot guarantee it will be available on your visit.

Find My Past have raised the issue with their technical team who are looking into how to resolve it.

Currently we can only book one computer to use Find My Past and the 1921 Census. However we cannot guarantee that it will continue to work for the length of your visit.

The other two computers can still be used for Ancestry and the British Newspaper Archive subscriptions.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that Find My Past will be able to fix it soon.

We appreciate that many visitors wish to view the 1921 Census on Find My Past. Please do try contacting the Berkshire Family History Society at their Research Centre in Reading to see if you can access them during their opening hours.
